High temperature warning extended until Saturday

The status yellow high temperature warning has been extended until 9am on Saturday.

Temperatures of around 31 degrees are expected today, with the possibility a new all-time record high could be set for the country.

The elderly, children and people with health issues such as diabetes are at particular risk of dehydration and heat stroke.
