The HSE has confirmed that it aims to begin a new in-depth study on the future of the Toghermore health campus in Tuam next month.
It's after the matter was raised in the Dáil by Galway East TD Louis O' Hara.
He wanted to know if proposals for an equine therapy centre on the site had made any headway.
Minister Colm Brophy told him that the equine therapy centre will be considered, but nothing can be certain until the review is completed.

Sinn Fein Deputy O' Hara said it would be a huge addition to the local and wider area.
