Independent Councillor Geraldine Dononhue is the new Cathaoirleach of the Loughrea Gort/Kinvara Municipal District,
Cllr Donohue was proposed by Fine Gael Councillor Jimmy McClearn, and seconded by outgoing Cathaoirleach Fine Gael Cllr Paul Killilea.
Meanwhile the Leas Cathaoirleach will be Fianna Fáil Councillor Gerry Finnerty, proposed by his party colleagueCouncillor Ivan Canning.
