An information evening is set to take place in Claregalway next week about saving Galway Airport in Carnmore (24/04)
It's hosted by the recently formed Galway Aviation and Innovation Advocacy Group.
The facility is owned by Galway city and county councillors and the Advocacy Group is urging them to protect the Airport runway from being destroyed - saying it could be used for different services.
The meeting, which is aimed at Oireachtas members, councillors and key stakeholders, will take place at Claregalway Castle on Friday week the 24th of April.
Advocacy Group Chairperson Fidelma Healy Eames says keeping the airport runway will benefit the West of Ireland
