A large cohort of vehciles is expected to arrive into Galway city around now as part of a nationwide fuel protest.

Trucks, lorries and tractors have been gathering this morning and are travelling from Moycullen, Tuam, Athenry and Loughrea into the city.

'The People of Ireland Against Fuel Prices' group are calling for the removal of carbon tax and a further reduction of excise duty on fuel.
