Local MEP calls for fast tracking of emergency aid in Europe

A local MEP has called for the introduction of a European initiative on fast tracking aid during events of extreme weather and war.

Midlands north west MEP Ciaran Mullooly says that delays in delivering aid are causing distress for the people of Europe.

The Independent Ireland MEP sited the response to those effected by storm Eowyn and the ongoing conflict in the middle east that left some Irish Citizens waiting on government chartered flights.

He says that 'decisions are needed' from Governments to keep people out of danger.
