Local MEP says EU vote on 'nudification apps' sends clear message

The EU is sending a clear message by backing a landmark ban on so called 'nudification apps'.

That's according to local MEP Maria Walsh, following a vote in Brussels today as part of the EU's Digital Omnibus Package.

'Nudification' apps are highly controversial as they use AI to render non-consensual naked images of real people.

Fine Gael MEP Walsh says today's vote is a major step forward.
