A local senator is highlighting a lack of state-funding for traditional music festivals in towns and villages.
Speaking in the Seanad, Ardrahan-based Senator PJ Murphy raised the upcoming Galway County Comhaltas, which will be held in Gort in May.
But Senator Murphy said despite being a huge draw, it hasn't gotten a single cent in state assistance.
