Local TD demands Government abandon two week break amid emergency situation after Storm Eowyn

The Government has to reconvene this week and not proceed with a planned two week break.

That's according to Roscommon/Galway TD Clare Kerrane, who says it's unacceptable as thousands are facing extremely difficult conditions after Storm Eowyn.

The Sinn Fein TD says communities in the West and North-West have been hit extremely hard.

And Deputy Kerrane says it's unthinkable that the Dáil isn't sitting when countless people are facing emergency conditions, in the cold, without power.
