Local TD demands reversal of "cruel" cuts to GRETB

The Government must reverse the "cruel" cuts it's made to funding for the Galway-Roscommon and Education Board.

That's according to Galway East TD Louis O' Hara, who says funding's been cut for the Further Education Pathways programme.

He says in real terms, this has led to 25 teachers being let go and 150 classes being cancelled.

Sinn Fein Deputy O'Hara says this is a slap in the face for staff who provided years of service.
