Local TD says ESB should consider "goodwill payment" to households in aftermath of Storm Eowyn

The ESB should consider making a "goodwill payment" to households, as repair works are in their 11th day following Storm Eowyn.

In Galway, there are 6 and a half thousand homes without power in pockets all over the county - and restore dates range from today into the weekend.

Roscommon/Galway Sinn Fein TD Claire Kerrane told John Morley that electricity supply companies should be looking at credits for affected customers.

But she said there's an argument to be made that the ESB should be considering a once-off payment to households as well.
