Local TD says Ireland must send "clear message" over Mercosur

Ireland must send a "clear message" to Europe about its opposition to the Mercosur Trade Deal - before its too late.

That's according to Roscommon/Galway TD Michael Fitzmaurice.

The Irish Government remains in negotiation over Mercosur, with several other countries like Italy and France also raising considerable opposition.

Speaking to Galway Talks, Deputy Fitzmaurice said we need to take action now, and use the situation to send a clear message while we still can.
