A man in his 60s has died in a single vehicle crash in Newbridge in East Galway
It happened shortly before 10 this morning.
The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene
His body has been removed to Portiuncula Hospital in Ballinasloe
Gardaí have closed the road to facilitate forensic examinations.
Gardaí at Ballinasloe Station are appealing for witnesses.
