A man in his 30s remains in Garda custody following the death of a mother of two in Clifden.
It's not yet clear whether he has been formally questioned as part of the investigation.
The investigation centres on the death of 31-year-old Masuma Sorahbi, whose body was discovered near the Owenglin River in Clifden on Thursday morning.
The mother of two had been living at the Waterloo House IPAS Centre with her children, after reportedly moving to the area in 2024.
Gardaí have confirmed that a post-mortem examination has been completed, although the findings are not being released for operational reasons.

Investigators are continuing to appeal for witnesses from the Galway Road area between Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning to come forward.
