Man taken to UHG following water rescue in city

Galway Bay fm newsroom - A man has been taken to UHG following a water rescue in the city this afternoon.

Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of an incident at Quincentennial Bridge shortly before 3pm.

A man was subsequently taken from the water and transferred to University Hospital Galway.

The extent of his injuries is not yet known.
