Michael McGrath Sensory Garden officially opened in Tuam

Tuam Palace Grounds' new Sensory Garden - named after a former custodian of the park, the late Michael McGrath - has been officially opened.

Designed by Corofin landscaper Mike Furey, the €100,000 project features a sensory playground, quiet garden, and vegatable boxes created by pupils from St Jarlath's College and High Cross College.

Along with the garden, a €30,000 basketball court was also opened today, which was funded through Galway Sports Partnership

The development of the garden was a collective effort from Tuam Women's Shed, local businesses, community fundraisers, with support from the County Council and HSE.
