Six regenerative tourism projects have secured fresh investment and business support services under the Government and the EU Just Transition Fund.

616,000 euro has been awarded to Shannon Bank Park in Esker, 410,000 euro to Brackloon Castle in Clonfert, 57,600 euro to the Sustainable Food and Wellbeing Academy in Williamstown, 30,000 to Ballinasloe Area Community Development, 29,000 euro to the Living Bog in Mountbellew and 40,000 euro to the Old Mill Distillery Visitor Centre in Ahascragh.

Co-administered by Galway County Council, the funding will support new visitor experiences, low carbon accommodation and local job creation.
