Minister Dara Calleary has officially cut the ribbon on a new base for Forum Connemara in Clifden.
FORUM Connemara is a rural development company that promotes and assists in social and enterprise development in the region.
It was first founded in 1989 and has grown substantially since then, delivering a wide range of programmes, including the multi-million euro LEADER programme.
The new office is located at the EIR Building in Clifden.
Minister for Social Protection and Rural Development, Dara Calleary, says it can't be over-stated, just how important the work of Forum Connemara is.
Rural depopulation and retention of younger people are among the biggest challenges facing the Connemara region.
That's according to the CEO of Forum Connemara, Karen Mannion, who's been speaking to Máirtin O' Catháin.
