A new roof is being installed on the Dublin Road bus shelter today.
Independent City Councillor Terry O'Flaherty has confirmed a crew will be repairing damage to the bus shelter near the Garda Regional Headquarters.
The shelter - which is a busy stop for both college students and older residents - had been damaged by storms, resulting in passengers getting wet every time it rained.
Later today, the roof will be reinstalled, which Councillor O'Flaherty says will come as a huge relief to the community.
