New special classes have been approved for two schools in Headford and Ballinasloe
Claran National School, Headford and Clonberne National School, Ballinasloe have each been approved for one new special class for the 2026/27 school year.
It's part of the Department of Education’s latest tranche of special class sanctions
Junior Minister and local TD Seán Canney says these decisions will help ensure that children with additional needs can attend school locally and receive the supports they need close to home.
