New special classes have been approved for two schools in Tuam and Castleblakeney.
Trinity Primary School, Tuam and St Cuan’s College, Castleblakney have each been approved for one new special class for the 2026/27 school year.
It's part of the Department of Education’s latest tranche of special class sanctions.
Junior Minister and local TD Seán Canney says these decisions will help ensure that children with additional needs can attend school locally and receive the supports they need close to home.
