New tourism bus aims to connect visitors with Gort heritage sites

A new bus service is to being piloted in Gort, to encourage increased visitors to heritage sites in the area.

It's called the 'Yeats Gregory Explorer', it will begin service today and will run until the end of August.

The free hop-on, hop-off service will call at the following locations:

Coole Park, the Kiltartan Gregory Museum, Thoor-Ballylee Yeat's Tower, Gort Town, Kilmacduagh Monastery and Garryland Wood.

The service starts on Monday, but Galway East TD and Junior Minister will officially launch the initiative at Coole Park on Tuesday morning.
