Orange weather warning for Galway on Sunday

An Orange weather warning has been issued for Galway on Sunday.

The warning's in place for Galway and Mayo from mid-day on Sunday until 9pm, with the likelihood of coastal flooding, large waves, difficult driving conditions and fallen trees.

The rest of the country will be under a yellow alert as Storm Ashley approaches.

Met Eireann is warning of the following impacts:

• Coastal flooding
• Large coastal waves
• Loose objects displaced
• Fallen trees
• Very difficult travelling conditions, dangerous conditions at sea
• Damage to power lines, power outages
• Damage to already weakened structures
