Outdoor dining and pedestrianised streets returns to Galway's Westend this weekend

This May Bank Holiday weekend will see the return of outdoor dining and pedestrianised streets at Galway's Westend.

The update has been given following recent consultation and meetings with traders, residents, and local authorities.

For the month of May, street closures will operate from 6PM Thursday to Sunday, along with Bank Holiday Mondays

From June, street closures will operate from 6PM on weekdays and from 3PM at the weekends.

The Small Crane section will remain closed to traffic 24/7 as per previous years.

The westend has been cleaned and repainted, with new signage outlining the closures to be installed ahead of this weekend.
