Petition to improve Athenry bus and train services presented to Transport Minister in Dáil

The Minister for Transport has been presented with a petition calling for better transport services in Athenry.

The petition - calling for the continuation of the 6:50AM train and for a bus service between Athenry and the city - has garnered 1,665 signatures.

Galway East TD Louis O'Hara set up the petition and has now once again raised the case in the Dáil, along with the petition itself.

Sinn Féin Deputy O'Hara says it's long past time something was done to provide people with proper public transport services
