A new pilot programme is supporting the delivery of locally-led youth work services through Irish on the Aran Islands.
It's a four year programme worth €300 thousand, supporting the Oileáin Árann Youth Work service.
It was developed following consultation with schools, local services and community stakeholders.
It aims to respond to challenges identified by young people - including isolation and limited access to early intervention and mental health supports.
Local Fine Gael Senator Sean Kyne says it's crucial to ensuring sustainable and vibrant communities.
