Planned restrictions on Kinvara pier labelled 'essentially a closure'

Planned restrictions on Kinvara pier are being labelled 'essentially a closure'.

The County Council is looking to monitor the pier to assess risk of collapse and is proposing a five-metre restricted setback.

It's not yet known when the setback would begin, but if risks are uncovered after a possible six-month assessment, works may then need to take place.
