Planned termination of early morning Athenry train raised again in Dáil

The planned termination of the early morning 6.50am train from Athenry to Galway City has once again been raised in the Dáil.

The service was funded as part of the ongoing redevelopment works at Ceannt Station.

But the NTA has confirmed it will not be continuing past August.

Speaking in the Dáil, Galway East Fianna Fail TD Albert Dolan argued Athenry is drawing the short straw on public transport.
