Plaques unveiled in Galway city for two iconic figures

Plaques have been unveiled in the city today for two iconic figures that have left distinguished marks in local history.

The first, at Laurel Park, honours the late Galway United legend Tommy Keane and marks the naming of the soccer pitch as 'Páirc Tommy Keane'.

The second, overlooking Galway Bay at Salthill Prom, commemorates Dr. Arthur Colahan, author of the iconic song and global hit 'Galway Bay'.

David Nevin was there - and in the special four minute report below you'll first hear from Tommy's nephew Charlie.
