Polish city to be transformed into mini-Galway for St Patrick's weekend

Galway is taking centre stage at Poland's "Off to Ireland Festival" over the next few days.

The festival takes place in Lodz, Poland's creative capital - and is held with the support of the office of the Mayor of Galway.

Led by Creative Director Ivonka Kwiek, the festival will transform the iconic OFF Piotrkowska Center into a vibrant "Mini-Galway," showcasing Irish culture, tourism, and business to an audience of thousands.

A Taste of Galway Pop-up Shop will feature well known local brands such as Micil Distillery, Sheridans Cheesemongers, and Builín Blasta.

A dedicated Irish bookshop will showcase titles from the Cló Iar-Chonnacht in Spiddal publishing house, promoting Irish literature and language.

Miniser of State Thomas Byrne will attend the event tomorrow.
