A public consultation is now open on a new joint economic strategy for Galway City and County.
It's described as a means to shape growth over the next decade and inform decisions in key economic areas like job creation, enterprise and cluster development.
It will also consider important factors to realising growth, like infrastructure, connectivity, research, and sustainable development in the city, towns and villages.
Residents and businesses are now invited to take part in a new survey as part of the strategy.
It's all about what Galway does well, and what could be improved as a place to live and a place to work.
The online consultation period runs for a period of 4 weeks and will close on 22 May 2026.
Online resident and business surveys can be accessed at:
Printed surveys are available by contacting the Forward Planning Departments of either Galway City or Galway County Councils.
It is anticipated the strategy will be launched in Q4 2026.
