A public information event is being held today on the Monivea Road Active Travel Scheme. (19/3)
Galway City Council is looking to develop a scheme to provide a safe route for walkers, wheelers and cyclists.
The area includes a 1.7km stretch on the R339 Monivea Road from the Old Ballybrit Road junction (East) to the R865 Ballybane Road junction.
The public information event takes place at the Clayton Hotel in Ballybrit from 3pm until 7pm.

Local Fine Gael Councillor Shane Forde says it's important that local residents and businesses have an input.
