Public invited to by-election hustings in the city on Galway traffic

A public by-election hustings on transport and traffic in Galway is taking place in the city this evening.

The event, organised by the Galway Commuter Coalition, will ask candidates for clear commitments on a range of relevant topics.

They include congestion, buses, walking, cycling and longer-term public transport visions.

There are currently 12 candidates in the mix for the upcoming Galway West by-election, though a date has still not been announced.

This evening's event will be chaired by Galway Talk's John Morley and takes place at the Park House Hotel at Forster Street at 7.
