Public meeting to be called over frustrating N65 Stop-Go

A public meeting is to be planned over the ongoing Stop-Go system in place on the N65 between Portumna and Killimor.

The lights have been in place to allow for repair works at Heathlawn for almost a year and a half, after damage caused by a road traffic incident.

It's been argued that more than 30 thousand euro has been spent on renting the lights since then and it's causing huge frustration for motorists

Councillor Jimmy McClearn says local road users have been disrespected to an unacceptable degree.

He says if Transport Infrastructure Ireland cannot send a representative to Galway, then he'll arrange a group to go to them:
