There's a renewed call for the National Transport Authority to establish local offices, to accelerate badly-needed roads projects.
The matter's been raised this time around in the Seanad by Senator Sean Kyne.
He argued there has to be a shift away from Dublin-based decision making, to a regional on-the-ground model best informed by local councillors, residents and council staff.
Fine Gael Senator Kyne says it's a common sense approach to improving delivery of active travel measures, pedestrian upgrades, and roads projects.
