There's hope in Connemara that things are at least moving in the right direction to solve the long-running issue of flooding at Kylemore Bridge.
It follows a high-level meeting that brought together Galway County Council, a range of local stakeholders, environmental groups, and organisations like the NPWS.
Also in attendance at the locally-arranged meeting was a group that took legal action against emergency dredge works carried out in 2023.
The aim of the gathering was simple - for all parties to try and find common ground to advance a permanent solution to continuous flooding, that is often dangerous and impassable.
Patricia Keane of the Kylemore Road Flooding Action Group has been explaining to David Nevin what the outcome was.
