That's according to the Irish Farmers Journal Land Report, which shows there was strong demand for land in the county.

Prices rose by three percent, with the average price now €9,780 per acre.

It's a similar outlook to the national story - with farmland prices increasing by three percent, and showing strong demand.

Kilkenny land prices rose by a massive 23% while they increased by 12% percent in Cork.

The report shows another year of steady land price rises across Connacht with the most affordable land for sale in county Mayo.
