Reports of young people inhaling laughing gas on Galway to Dublin train

Irish Rail has received reports of young people inhaling laughing gas on Galway to Dublin train along with incidents of passengers snorting powder

Nationally, the company's anti social behaviour text line received more than one thousand 100 reports of incidents on board last year.

As a result, Irish Rail is adding more security patrols to trains to keep passengers safe.

Spokesperson Jane Cregan says the number of complaints are low when compared with the 55 million passenger journeys Irish Rail had last year
