Galway is in the bottom five counties for business survival, according to new analysis.
Consultancy Agency, Nathan Trust, carried out research on company registrations and dissolutions in Ireland last year.
They found that Galway has a 67 percent business survival rate - the fourth lowest behind Cork, Wicklow and Dublin.
More than 26 thousand companies were registered in Ireland last year, while 9,692 were dissolved.
Dublin recorded the highest volume of business activity overall, while Cavan had the strongest business survival rate in the country,
