Fine Gael's Seán Kyne is returning to the Dáil today, to officially take his seat as a Galway West TD once again.
He won the seat in the by-election on Sunday night after overtaking Independent Ireland's Noel Thomas in the final count.
Sean Kyne had served as a TD for almost a decade, having first been elected to the Dáil in 2011, but he lost that seat in 2020
Meanwhile, following his success in Dublin Central, Daniel Ennis becomes the Social Democrats' 12th TD, making it the second largest opposition party for the first time.
