Seanad hears TII "oblivious" to road safety needs in Portumna

Transport Infrastructure Ireland is "oblivious" to the need for road safety measures in Portumna.

That's according to local senator Anne Rabbitte, who's used the Seanad to discuss the model under which works take place on national roads.

She said in practice, there's a complete disconnect between Galway County Council and TII, and the whole situation needs reviewing.

Fianna Fail Senator Rabbitte said there's been very little done in Portumna.
