Seventeen schools across Galway have been chosen to take part in this year's Pollinator Project.
Broadband provider SIRO and the group Biodiversity in Schools have teamed up with the aim of educating the next generation about the importance of bees.
The secondary schools taking part include Ardscoil Mhuire Ballinasloe, St. Brigid's College Loughrea, Galway Educate Together and Gort Community School.
And the primary schools getting involved are Kilcoona National School, Claregalway Educate Together, Scoil Chuimín agus Caitríona Oughterard, Maree National School, Athenry Primary School, Scoil Iosa Campus 2 Oranmore, Brackloon National School, St Augustine's Clontuskert National School and Moyglass National School.
Also taking part is Youthreach Portumna, Cairde Childcare Centre Claregalway and Galvin Home School.
Each group will receive a pollinator information kit - which includes wildflower seeds, habitat creation tools and they will also have access to biodiversity workshops
