The Social Democrats have selected their candidate to contest the Galway West by-election.
26 year old Míde Nic Fhionnnlaoich from Connemara will run for the party.
Míde is a parliamentary assistant for Dublin-Rathdown TD Sinead Gibney, and helped support Catherine Connolly's Presidential campaign in Dublin.
It brings to six the number of candidate now confirmed for the by-election - which is due to be held in April or May

The other candidates are Independent Ireland Cllr Noel Thomas, Independent Cllr Tom Welby, Niall Murphy of the Green Party, Independent Sheila Garrity from Knocknacarra, and Labour City Cllr Helen Ogbu
