There's been a step forward for a new Masters at University of Galway for primary school teaching through Irish.
The university has been granted permission by the Department of Education to seek accreditation for its proposed Máistir Gairmiúil san Oideachas.
The course would be a professional Master of Education postgraduate qualification to train teachers working in Irish-medium primary schools.
