Substantial Heritage Council funding for 16 Galway projects

Sixteen community heritage projects in Galway are to share in an allocation of €300,000 from the Heritage Council

The funding is part of a nationwide investment of €2 million supporting 127 projects across Ireland.

The Galway projects receiving 25,000 euro include Oranmore Tidy Towns for the Medieval Graveyard; St Nicholas' Collegiate Church for the Heritage and History project; Kilchreest Castledaly for continued conservation of Kilchreest Graveyard and South East Galway Integrated Rural Development for Portumna Workhouse
