Taoiseach says "no justification" for blockading of fuel depots in Galway and Limerick

The Taoiseach says there is no justification for the blockading of fuel depots in Galway and Limerick.

At a press conference, Michéal Martin indicated Gardaí may have to take action to clear the blockades.

It comes as protestors at Lough Atalia claim there'll be 'no oil in or out of Galway' until the Government acts on rising fuel prices.

Traffic was heavily impacted yesterday by slow moving truck convoys - but these are not continuing today and action is limited to the blockade.

The Taoiseach said Government will continue to engage with organisations - but these current actions are unacceptable and harming the ordinary person.
