The death has occurred of former Galway County Councillor Michael O'Neill of Renvyle in Connemara
Michael, a school principal, was a long serving, respected Progressive Democrats councillor
His funeral will take place tomorrow evening in Tullycross and on Friday afternoon he will be laid to rest in Renvyle Cemetery
Michael O'Neill is survived by his daughters Meave, Siobhan, Maureen, Eithne and Niamh, his son Jim, his grandchildren and a wide circle of family and friends
