Tuam native Danny McCoy receives medal for his contribution to business in Europe

Tuam native Danny McCoy has received a medal for his contribution to business in Europe, to economic thought, and to public life.

The IBEC chief has become just the second recipient of the Trinity European Laureate Award, with former Taoiseach Enda Kenny the inaugural gold medal recipient in 2025.

The gold medal acknowledges Danny McCoy's leadership in advancing the European ideal throughout a career dedicated to promoting cooperation and shared prosperity.

In partnership with the global CEO advisory firm Teneo, the Trinity Long Room Hub’s European Laureate Award acknowledges figures whose careers epitomise the best about Europe and all it represents.
