Two Galway-based projects have been recognised at the SEAI Energy Awards for 2025.
Recode, which is based at University of Galway, won the Excellence in Energy Research Award for its project in financing renewable energy projects in collaboration with local communities.

Boston Scientific won the Low Carbon Technologies Innovation Award for its work, along with UG, in designing and constructing a coating machine for a drug-coated balloon used in the treatment of coronary artery disease.
A total of 12 awards were presented to individuals, businesses, communities, and public sector organisations for their commitment to sustainable energy and climate action.
