Two Galway schools have been recognised at the National Finals of the Our World Awards.
The programme supports pupils by helping them understand and engage with global issues in a meaningful way.
Kilcooley National School picked up the Irish Aid Programme Award, while Scoil Mhuire, Corr na Móna, won the An Iontráil Ghaeilge is Fearr.
The awards are open to primary school students from 3rd to 6th class, with students creating projects adressing issues such as climate change, poverty and sustainability.
